of inventive ideas!
of life skills!
I am thrilled to teach Elementary Art at Monforton. Some of MY favorite memories as a child were spent traveling and exploring the world of art with my family. I spent many summers in France with my French family visiting Romanesque Churches, Modern Museums and Artist Studios. We also camped all over the southwest of the USA and Mexico. I climbed Mayan pyramids, made countless drawings and built elaborate sand castles. When it came time for me to choose what to do in my life I decided to study Fine Arts at UC Davis. I was drawn to Montana where I received an MFA at Montana State University in Painting and Printmaking and a teaching certification in K- 12 Art Education. I started teaching K-8 art at Monforton way back in 2002 when there were only 116 students K-8. Along the way I got my Teaching Certification at MSU. I am humbled to have the opportunity to get to know each Monforton student as they grow as little artists!
