I am beginning my 15th year in education. I spent 10 years teaching Health Enhancement at Hawthorne Elementary here in Bozeman, as well as coaching high school track, football, and elementary intramural sports. I spent the past 4 years as Middle School Principal in Manhattan, MT, and I love serving in the role of principal.
I have a wonderful family that you will certainly meet along the way! My wife, BreAnna, works at Bozeman Orthodontics. We have 3 crazy boys – Bentley is 11 and will be in the 5th grade here at Monforton, Wyatt is 8 and starting 2nd grade here, and Brooks is 5 and has one more year of preschool before beginning Kindergarten next year! We are an active family, playing sports and getting outside as much as we can, which includes our summer camp we own and operate as a family business. We are also MSU Bobcat alumni and avid Bobcat fans. Our family lives in the Four Corners area so we are excited to be close to home here at Monforton!

This is my 13 year as an educator. I’m proud to be a Bobcat, having received both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from MSU. I also received a master’s degree from Walden University. For the first nine years of my career, I taught down the road at Ridge View Elementary. I’m now in my third year as Principal at Monforton Middle School.
It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Monforton Community. I’m here to continue the tradition of growing and learning together. If you have any questions, would like to volunteer or need anything else, please be in touch.
Be the Good in the World!

This is my 20th year in education. I received both my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Montana State University, Bozeman. I began my teaching career in Salt Lake City, Utah teaching four years in a kindergarten classroom, followed by four years in a sixth-grade classroom. In 2010, my family and I returned to Montana where I taught fourth and fifth grade at a local rural K-8 school.
Upon completion of my Educational Leadership Degree, I served Gallatin County for three years as the County Superintendent of Schools. In 2017, I began working as the Elementary Principal of Monforton where I have had the pleasure of working with the Monforton students, staff, and community. I now continue my career in educational leadership as I proudly serve as the Superintendent of Monforton School District. I look forward to another great year serving wonderful students, staff and community.
