This is my 16th year in education. I received both my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Montana State University, Bozeman. I began my teaching career in Salt Lake City, Utah teaching four years in a kindergarten classroom, followed by four years in a sixth-grade classroom. In 2010, my family and I returned to Montana where I taught fourth and fifth grade at a local rural K-8 school.
Upon completion of my Educational Leadership Degree, I served Gallatin County for three years as the County Superintendent of Schools. In 2017, I began working as the Elementary Principal of Monforton where I have had the pleasure of working with the Monforton students, staff, and community.

Hello Monforton families,
This is my 11th year as an educator. I’m proud to be a Bobcat, having received both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from MSU. I also received a master’s degree from Walden University. For the first nine years of my career, I taught down the road at Ridge View Elementary, transitioning to the district’s Distance Learning Coordinator for my final year with the Belgrade School District.
After completing my Educational Leadership degree in 2019, I began looking for administrative positions in the Gallatin Valley. I am happy to have found a home here at Monforton, becoming the Middle School Principal in 2021. I am passionate about arts, athletics and STEAM education. I also care deeply about our environment, striving to increase my efforts to help ensure this valley maintains its beauty and health. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the Monforton Community. I’m here to continue the tradition of growing and learning together.

This is my 21st year in education. I received two undergraduate degrees from Montana State University in Secondary Education-Social Studies Broadfield and Psychology. I began my teaching career in Opheim, MT, where I worked for four years serving as the 7-12 Social Studies Teacher and Activities Director, also coaching basketball and track. I moved to Harrison, MT after that and taught Social Studies for one year. I spent the next two years as K-12 Principal and transitioned to serving as Superintendent for the next six years. During this time, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Montana State University. Over the course of my tenure in Harrison, I also served in roles as the Activities Director and coached track, basketball, and cross country.
I started working at Monforton in 2012 as superintendent and have been overjoyed by the quality of staff here, the participation of the parents, and the support of the community. Monforton is truly a special place to work!
