Kindergarten – 2nd Grade Counselor
The 2025/2026 school year will be my 19th year as a School Counselor. Throughout this time I have worked with students in Kindergarten-8th grade. I first did my practicum and internship at Monforton while studying at MSU. I was a School Counselor in Whitehall for 1 year and have been working at Monforton for the past 17 years. Being a School Counselor is my passion and what I love to do!
I am married to my husband, Dustin and have three children, Luke , Liv and Troy. We have a lab named Jig, a boxer named Tiber and our cat, Mya. I love to camp, spend time at the lake and in the mountains with my family!

3rd-5th Counselor
Hello everyone! My name is Ellen Turro, and I am excited to join the Monforton community as the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade School Counselor. I have worked with children and adolescents in the education field for about 17 years, previously as a 4th Grade Teacher before becoming a School Counselor. I am dedicated to working with the team at Monforton to create a learning community where all students feel valued and a sense of belonging in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
