Hi, my name is Brent Amestoy, and I am currently teaching 6th-grade Math and Science. I completed my student teaching assignment in the winter of 2006 and have been a teacher at Monforton since. My earlier years were spent teaching P.E. part-time for a year before stepping into the middle school math position the following year. I spent 6 years in the class teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade math as well as an early morning Algebra class. Following that, I spent the next 6 years as the RTI Director for Monforton. While I like to look at data and determine what’s best for our students, I missed the classroom and returned to it in 2019. Since then, I have been teaching 6th-grade math and science, and I have genuinely enjoyed being back in the classroom with my students.
