This is my 16th year teaching third grade at Monforton elementary school. Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been lucky to teach such wonderful students. Monforton School is a great place where I truly enjoy being around such enthusiastic students, staff, and parents.
I grew up in Great Falls, but now live in Bozeman with my wife Rachele. We have a rambunctious first grader named Bruce. He is the love of our life and makes every day unpredictable.
Here’s a bit more information on my educational background. I started college at Western Montana in Dillon on a football scholarship. After two years, I transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman where I could focus on my elementary education degree and fishing the local waters. Right after I graduated from MSU in May of 2003, I started at Monforton.
In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers. I believe that great things can happen when we work together! Monforton is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community and part of a winning team.
